CHANGE THE STATUS OF RESIDENCE
想変更在留資格
Foreigner should apply this application when you want to change the current activity to the new activity which you intend to act in Japan.
You should apply this application when the change occured before the period of redidence would come to an end.
The fee for this application for the immigration office is ６000yen.(revenue stamp)→(from the 1st of April 2025) 5500yen(in case of on line)
You should apply the necessary documents . According to the new status of residence undermentioned documents are required.
1 Application for the change of status of residence.
2 Evidence for the reason of application.
3 Passport or certificate of eligibility. (only showing to confirm)
4 Residence card.(only showing to confirm) etc. ~~~~~ There are lot more.
日本在留中の外国人が現に与えられている「在留資格」に属する活動を終止して新たに別の「在留資格」に属する活動を行おうとする場合、あるいは身分関係の変更等の理由によって現在の「在留資格」とは異なる「在留資格」を得たいとする場合「在留資格の変更」の手続きをしなければなりません。
この申請を行う在留外国人が最寄りの地方出入局在留管理局に自分で出向いて行わなければなりません、申請人が16歳未満の場合や病気などの事由がある場合、その父母や配偶者等が本人に代わって申請できます。
法務大臣から申請取次機関の承認を受けている企業、学校等の職員又は申請取次の承認を受けている行政書士を通して申請を行う場合には申請人本人は地方出入局在留管理局へ出頭する必要がありません。
